Trad Goth - Traditional Goths and the first to appear. They set the stage for all the subcultures to follow.

Romantic Goth - These goths are attracted to a more romantic spectrum than normal goths. They usually love the drama of romance and sorrow, and tend to associate more with softer music. They typically wear lacy, elegant, or flowing garb, suits, and softer makeup.

Cyber Goth - These are goths that are heavily into industrial and cybernetics. They usually showcase neon accents with there darker garb.

Fetish Goth - These are goths that are heavily into leather and more BDSM styles. This doesn't mean that those goths are into performing BDSM and other fetishes. In fact many just enjoy the thrill of the style.

Victorian Goth -  This type aims for an elegant feel, like the aristocrats of the Victorian era, the wealthy and elite. These Goths adore combining Victorian literature, style, and pass times with dark aesthetics of the subculture.

Vampire Goth - These goths tend to be a close mixture of Romantic Goths and Victorian goths but with vampiric overtones.

Bubble Goth - These goths are typically into the pop and techno world being very similar to Cyber goths but without the heavy neon. They gravitate to more pale accents such as pastels. It's a subculture generated more towards those that like more of these colors with more or less black accents and undertones while still holding true to the more morbid wilds of life.

Lolita Goth -  Also known as a J Goth sometimes, these types generally gravitate to the japanese fashion craze of Lolita. Some will argue that this isn’t a real type because it isn’t known to be directly associated with any particular type of music.

Medieval Goth - This type gears it’s sites on medieval garb, and generally gives off a more magickal feel. Quite often giving nods to witch like characteristics as well as the aristocratic, fairies, and Romantic Goths as well.

Fairy Goth - This type can very easily be seen as a crossover between Romantic and Hippy goths, maybe even a little Medieval mixed in there as well. Most of their garb has a magickal feel and often pays homage to the elements as well.

Hippy Goth - This type, like most hippies is very eco and animal friendly while still using a more morbid and dark splash as far as clothing and accessories are concerned. Many Hippy goths tend to be vegetarian or vegan as well. And many practice some form of Pagan arts.

Tribal Goth - This relatively new breed of goth tends to combine bellydancing fashion with a dark and sinister flare. They also tend to have accessories that showcase such things as bones, wooden and carved jewelry or even stones.

Steampunk Goth - A mashup of Victorian and Cyber Goth styles, along with a love and appreciation for the sci-fi culture.

Emo Goth - A type that mixes Trad goth with some staples of the Emo Culture.

Burlesque Goth - Also known as Cabaret Goths, this type mixes small portions of the fetish goth culture with the elegance of older age goth types such as Victorian and Steampunk.

Gothbilly - A type mixes country or “hillbilly” styles with the gothic traits.

Geek Goth - This type combines the love for the gothic culture and the love for the Geek culture into one. These goths tend to not dress too extravagantly generally wearing band t-shirts and simple makeup. The main focus is on things such as game, or roleplaying.

Corp Goth - This type is focused on working class aesthetics with a dark or morbid flare.

Pastel Goth - This is a type that mixes heavy pastels with black accents. Generally this type is known for having hipster like, or lolita inspired styles with crosses or skeletons. It’s a type that comes off as morbid and cutsie at the same time.

Hipster Goth - This type combines the hipster style with gothic overtones. Like the Geek goth however, the hipster goths don’t focus as much on the actual style and tend to wear more simple fashion albeit more fashionable than the average Geek goth.

Bohemian Goth - A newer form of Goth that takes all the Bohemian, and boho chic influences of the fashion and add the classic gothic twist. It is also widely known as "Gypsy Goth" while other more non-conventional goths may refer to it as "new age Goth" or even "Witchy" or "Pagan goth"

White Goth - This type tend to dress in a style that's either trad goth, vampire goth, romantic goth, or lolita goth but, instead of lots of black they use white.

Nu Goth - This type is a fashion style that takes some of the tropes of casual Goth fashion and mixes it up with many Hipster or even a little Boho fashion staples. Most of these types don't really listen to much in the way of Gothic music but, prefer an interest in the clothing and aesthetic more. This has sparked some controversy between the more trad goth members in the community.

Baby Bat Goth - This particular type has two different definitions. Most often this is a term used to describe young goths in the culture purely for the shock value and stereotypical goth scene. These people tend to gravitate to everything that is considered a gothic stereotype while paying little to no respects to the actual culture itself, and as a whole give the actual gothic community a bad name. Still, the second lesser accepted definition states that baby bats are simply people who are just starting out in the goth scene and have yet to really find the place they fit into. It states further that these people tend to gravitate a little more to the stereotypes of goth until their research into the culture as a whole helps them to find an actual identity throughout the many subcultures in the gothic community.

I consider myself a mixture of most of these, but I consider myself a pastel goth.
I'm probably mostly the mix of a pastel goth, nu goth, gothic lolita, romantic goth, emo goth, bubble goth, and a little bit of victorian and medieval.
Not too fond of fetish or burlesque goth because I don't like erotic stuff at ALL.
I HATE it when people say pastel goth isn't "goth"! It really annoys me! Llama Emoji-66 (Angry) [V3]
